On behalf of The Separated Child Foundation, I have this week signed a joint sector statement of concern that new Home Office legislation will formalise a two-tier system discriminating against unaccompanied asylum seeking children and undermining the Children Act 1989.
Along with our many colleagues in the children’s sector we are concerned that the Illegal Migration Bill places some of the world’s most vulnerable children outside of the very system designed to care for them. You can read the full statement here:
