On Wednesday last week the Government announced their new Border Security, Asylum and Immigration Bill. We’re taking some time to analyse the Bill and understand the implications for separated children but we know that public support for refugees remains as vital as ever.

That’s why, as proud members of the Together with Refugees coalition, we’re asking you to show your support for refugees – including separated children – this February.

We’re encouraging you to get involved by:-

  • Asking your MP to sign the Fair Begins Here Parliamentary Promise. This is an opportunity for politicians of all parties to commit to taking action to secure an asylum system that is well managed, fair and compassionate.
  • Displaying the orange heart emoji in your social media profiles and posts to show your support for refugees. Starting a conversation about the challenges faced by refugees, including separated children, helps to encourage compassionate responses to them. Please visit our Instagram page to see how you can use the orange heart emoji in your profile or bio and posts.
  • Designing a Valentine’s Day card for us to share on our website and social media accounts to raise awareness of the public support for refugees in the UK. Please download the following template and scan it back or take a photo of your design to send to contact@separatedchild.org

Thank you for your support.
